Job Description

Key Purpose:

Coordination of quality activities in preparation for the launch of new products
Ensuring conformity to requirements for new products released to production
Driving problem solving activities post-launch to ensure quick resolution of issues and improve stability of new products

This role is ideal for a professional, driven candidate who is seeking a new challenge. The successful candidate would need to be a quick learner with a proactive attitude, who is confident that they can apply their personal and professional skills to a manufacturing, quality role. Training will be provided for specific processes and tools essential to the role.

Production Readiness Review Process

Facilitating the PRR, ensuring adherence to requirements
Facilitating cross-functional reviews to support the PRR
Acting as liaison with the industrialization team for new products
Driving the progression of PRR deliverables
Preparing and reporting on PRR status and KPIs

APQP

Facilitating APQP for new products, ensuring adherence to requirements
Facilitating cross-functional reviews to support the APQP process
Driving the progression of product APQP deliverables
Preparing and reporting on product APQP status and KPIs

Launch Quality

Ownership of PPAP activities and documents for the launch of new products
Updating and monitoring the product PPAP glidepath up to and post-launch
Communication with customers on submission requirements PPAP status
Preparation of IMDS submission for new products
Concession preparation and management for new products
Preparing, monitoring and reporting of quality KPIs
Supporting problem solving and continual improvement
Driving the improvement of new products to meet quality targets

Quality Support

Supporting quality investigations for internal and customer product issues
Containing quality escapes
Supporting problem solving and root cause analysis
Implementing corrective action

Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualification:

Knowledge of quality core tools, such as PPAP and APQP
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Good communication skills and confident presenting and reporting
Awareness of problem-solving techniques
Good level of IT skills, particularly MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Strong desire to learn and develop in a manufacturing quality role

Desirable technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualification:

Experience in manufacturing quality
Manufacturing experience – knowledge of production systems and assembly techniques, preferably in engine assembly
Application of IATF 16949:2016 requirements
Experience in facilitating product APQP
Experience in product launch and PPAP
Understanding of IMDS system and submissions
