A CFD Analyst is required to carry out a range of analysis tasks in the expanding Ricardo Prague office.

Job Duties

Working in conjunction with highly skilled engineers both in Prague and at other Ricardo locations around the world, you will perform some of the following types of analysis:

Cooling and lubrication of engines, transmissions and electrical machines
Analysis of vehicle cooling, HVAC, fuel, brake and battery systems
Cabin comfort and under-bonnet thermal analysis
Flow analysis of intake and exhaust systems
Simulation of fluid systems using combinations of 1D/3D fluid dynamic and thermal modelling tools
Interpretation of results and suggestions for improvements
Assisting in the development of new techniques

 

The ideal candidate will have most of the following

A degree in either Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or Applied Mathematics
A sound knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics theory
Experience with at least one fluid simulation code such as StarCD / Star CCM+, Fluent, VECTIS, TAITherm, Flowmaster, GT Suite, AMESim, Ignite, Ansa or Hypermesh
At least intermediate level of English (daily use and communication with native speakers)
