Job Description


  • As Chassis/Bodywork Engineer, you will be in charge to create solutions in line with client needs and expectations and you will be involved in all the phases of the development of new motorcycles, scooters, urban mobility vehicles, accessories and any other vehicle will be required by our clients from all over the world
  • Mechanical engineering design within a process framework ensuring acceptable DFM/DFA
  • Preparation of appropriate sketches, schematic diagrams or presentations to convey design intent to a cross functional team
  • Determine requirement for analysis and either undertake or define and manage third party involvement
  • Prepare drawings to international standards including GD&T
  • Prepare tolerance stacks, clearance checks and all other supporting information for drawing approval
  • Define and facilitate component testing
  • Provide engineering support to the cross functional team
  • Awareness of project schedule and consequence of missed deliverables
  • Participate in cross-functional design reviews to facilitate knowledge transfer
  • Assist in the preparation of project status reports to senior management
  • Rapid evaluation of problems, identifying defects and recommending possible solutions

  • Located at Ricardo RTC (Rimini Technical Centre) but with the opportunity to work in an international environment and travel abroad
  • Project variety, encompassing many different customer markets, highly varied product sectors e.g. superbike, scooter, off-road, cruiser and urban mobility vehicles at any of all project phases, from clean sheet to production



  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Substantial degree of personal autonomy and responsibility for the management of task assigned
  • Design for manufacture: proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes for metals, composites, plastics and more
  • Proficient on 3D modelling in Creo and Catia, UX NX is a plus
  • Good knowledge on available RP and manufacturing technologies
  • Direct or tier one experience working for Powersport OEM (motorcycles, quad, light 4 wheelers, etc.)
  • Good knowledge on actual 2-3-4 wheelers market
  • Good communication (both written and oral)
  • Very good English


  • Chassis and/or bodywork engineering design experience
  • Experience of working with international suppliers and/or clients both face-to-face and remotely
  • Fully qualified, with an appropriate level of experience in delivering a range of project types (e.g. concept generation, prototype development, problem resolution) in a motorcycle related field
  • Willingness to travel abroad
  • Motorcycle passionate
