Job Description

Ricardo EMEA – Business Support Graduate

This role is Fixed Term for 6 months with the possibility of permanent employment at the end of this period.

Overview

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the purpose of this role is to provide strategic, operational and logistical support to facilitate efficient business governance. Will work in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), aiding the planning, communication and implementation of business improvement initiatives.

Key accountabilities will include:

Working closely with the MD to support and drive business initiatives and their introduction as Business-As-Usual
Implementing a business transformation program to embed a new strategy, culture and architecture into the business
Developing and maintaining an objective-driven balanced scorecard to enable the Board of Directors to access KPI data efficiently, rapidly and reliably
Assisting the business planning process to aggressive timescales, including managing and chairing multiple business governance meetings

 

Scope of Role

This is a key role within Ricardo EMEA division, and is a major support resource for the Senior Leadership team (SLT). Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the aim of the Business Support Graduate is to drive business initiatives across the EMEA division in the pursuit of strategic goals, providing support as required through planning, communication and implementation.

 

Accountabilities

Support the development, scheduling and management of structured, agenda-driven, key governance meetings including extending invitations to external presenters of focus topics.
Facilitate roll-out of business initiatives and performance updates via mediums such as managerial cascade or divisional broadcast sessions.
Ensure appropriate, timely and efficient communication of key messages, operational announcements and planned events.
Cross-departmental liaison to combine systems from various functions to provide creative implementation solutions for new business initiative concepts.
Aid marketing with the creation, development and release of assets for key internal and external presentations and planned communications.
Help to ensure efficient flow of accurate information into decision meetings with the Board of Directors by working with information owners to ensure system clarity and robustness.
Manage storage and accessibility of documents, presentation materials and filesharing solutions, ensuring permissions are controlled and confidentiality is protected where necessary.

 

Candidate requirements

Degree level; business, marketing or related field
Must have some exposure or work experience in industry (during or post degree)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
An interest engineering would be beneficial
Ability to work flexible hours
