Job Description

Ricardo is seeking an experienced IT professional to perform a key role in the support and development of Ricardo business systems. The role is extremely varied, on a range of technologies, working an existing team of Business Analysts, IT Specialists and Third-party support companies to help these systems.


  Work with the team & business in an internal customer facing role to get the best possible solutions & processes for Business Systems

Resolving Production Support Incidents for Business Systems and Reports
Incident management and associated change requests and documentation throughout the application/report lifecycle.
Support of existing applications, including SharePoint platform.
Development & Maintenance of Reports & Reporting environment.
System Administration SharePoint & MSSQL Server.
Investigation of application problems/incidents in a mixed application environment – SharePoint, SQL, .NET

Person Specification


Strong Analytical, methodical troubleshooting Skills.

Experience in Web Based Application support & administration.
Experience in BI/report writing tools (Power BI, SSRS)
Experience in MS SQL Server Admin, SQL development
Experienced SharePoint Power User/Administrator

(On Premise/SharePoint Online)

Proficient in Windows Server, Windows OS, MS Office
Good communication skills (both written & verbal).
Good customer facing skills & experience of working with third parties
Demonstrate historically continuous improvements, effort, and willingness to adapt, and learn new technologies.
Experience in PowerShell or other scripting languages.
Pro-Active, Flexible approach to work. Occasional requirement to work out of hours (mostly via remote access)

Web Technologies including Java Application Servers
Software Development (.NET/VBA)
Azure/O365 services
3rd Party SharePoint Tools – Metalogix, Sharegate
