Job Description

Ricardo Graduate Scheme: a 2-year accelerated development programme comprising up to 4 rotations around the business, including the opportunity for international placements. Our scheme is accredited with the IMechE and the IET and we encourage progress to CEng/IEng; we provide a mentor and cover fees. 


In order to meet the challenging needs of the world’s increasing requirement for innovative technological and engineering solutions, we are looking to recruit highly qualified embedded software graduates who from the outset will be working on specialist engineering projects across a range of sectors.  This role would suit a graduate who is ambitious, with a passion for their subject, loves problem solving, sharing their knowledge and wants to work in a dynamic cross-functional team. 

We are looking to recruit graduates from one of the following engineering disciplines:- 

Computer Science/Computer Engineering 

Successful candidates will have a minimum 2:1 degree and ideally master’s degree to work as part of a multi-national and multi-disciplinary team. We are looking to recruit self-motivated engineers with a passion for Embedded Software Engineering demonstrated through work or outside interest. 

We will also consider candidates who have undertaken relevant work experience and/or have a second European language. Evidence of interest in one or more of the following would be an advantage:- 

- Commercial experience or internship with Embedded C, C++ 
- Experience of embedded microcontrollers

- Home electronics projects involving coding and embedded software 

- Participation in collaborative computing challenges including “hackathons”
