The Scenarios Business Analyst / Consultant will support the development and delivery of Ricardo Strategic Consulting foresight practices and assets including global and focused regional scenarios, horizon scanning, sign-post activities, and scenario technology implications.
Reporting to the Scenarios Principal and working closely with Vice President RSC, Technology Strategy team and the broader RSC and Ricardo technical expert community, this role will support our global transport scenarios and foresight programme which aims to position RSC as a thought leader and raise our profile with our global client base.
We are looking for a passionate, motivated, technology conversant and enquiring individual who has excellent communication and research skills, and the ability to develop meaningful insight.
Focus of the role
In this role you will work with the Scenarios Principal to:
Support the delivery and refreshing of global / focused regional transport scenarios within agreed timelines
Support the production of relevant and timely insights based on the scenarios
Develop technology implications for the global scenarios working with the broader Ricardo technical community
Undertake regular horizon scanning and signpost monitoring activities
Act as an ambassador and internal champion for RSC’s foresight and scenarios activities and insights

Background and profile
Technical or Engineering degree from a top-tier institution. Master’s degree is preferred
An MBA or other post-graduate degree (PhD) is desirable
Technically conversant with some exposure to mobility / transport technology, and at least 2 years’ relevant industry experience
Ability to learn quickly
Existing knowledge/experience of scenario planning and foresight activities a bonus
Willingness to travel
