Role: Business Analyst
Location: Shoreham-by-Sea, UK

Purpose:
Our Business Analysts are involved in every phase of a consulting engagement, from pre-proposal research through to final implementation, working with a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced RSC team. Our projects are typically 4-12 weeks in length, giving Strategic Consulting employees exposure to varied projects across several industry sectors.
Business Analysts at Ricardo are the core of a consulting team and deliver / lead substantial portions of the customer engagement, from pre-proposal research through to final project delivery
Key activities
Business Analyst
Collecting data from secondary sources and assisting the team in identifying new and unique information sources
Designing and executing qualitative and quantitative primary research
Translating data into meaningful insights and recommendations
Communicating findings to the consulting team and the client verbally, and in writing
Collaborating and developing relationships with colleagues from across RSC and wider Ricardo to facilitate joint projects
Supporting delivery of presentations to clients and workshop facilitation
Supporting senior leadership team in proposal development to meet client requirements, and business development activities within the team as required
Encouraging continuous improvement within the Technology Strategy team
Key accountabilities:
Technical or Engineering degree from a top-tier institution. Master’s degree is preferred; An MBA or other post-graduate degree is desirable
A passion for technology, you will have at least 2 years’ relevant industry experience
Ability to quickly understand a range of technical and strategic subjects, and to creatively combine to provide compelling insight.
Knowledge or experience in one of the following technology areas would be an advantage:
Battery and electric propulsion technology, Fuel cells, Hydrogen, Electrical / Electronic architecture
Experience of developing client relationships at an operational level on projects and tasks
Strong analytical skills and experience conducting in-depth data analysis. Experience of data science techniques would be an advantage
Self-starter with excellent organisation and time management skills able to structure own work and work independently
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, with excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills in English
Excellent problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills
A resilient, pragmatic and determined outlook
Self-motivated, team-orientated and thrive on challenge
Flexibility to travel globally if required
