Job Description

THE ROLE

The Subcontract Purchasing Assistant reports to the Subcontract Purchasing Manager and will be responsible for supporting purchasing tasks within the Manufacturing process, components and services to site to support the manufacture of components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplier chasing, updating LN with collection dates.
Booking in of deliveries
Reporting according to required departmental KPI measures
Daily expediting to achieve excellent tight lead times.
Driver admin support – Van logs, safety, incident reporting
Quote register, (Maintenance of filing, ensuring all RFQ’s from Manufacturing Engineering are obtained and registered
Summarising critical issues and thinking ahead to any future issues.
Communicating with suppliers on order details
Job readiness of NPI, working alongside the project teams to help transition new work into ongoing operations.
Assisting with continuous improvement of the purchasing processes
Supplier liaison of closures and publishing on EBoard
Adhoc driving to deliver/collect from local suppliers
Moving parts throughout WIP
