Job Description

Role: NVH Project Engineer

Location: MTC

Purpose:

Ricardo is a global strategic, environmental and engineering consultancy at the intersection of transport, energy and global climate agendas. The Ricardo UK Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) department has been providing engineering services to reduce noise levels and improve product refinement for over 50 years. The successful applicant will be working with the NVH team at the Midlands Technical Centre (MTC) reporting to the NVH section leader.

Depending on the project(s) worked on, the role will involve some travel.

 

Key accountabilities:

Essential

Ability to manage own tasks with minimal supervision  
Good communication skills with ability to talk to colleagues, customers, suppliers  
Clear, logical thinking skills with the ability to understand and solve problems 
Intermediate level of PC and general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word 
LMS Siemens Test.lab hardware and software experience, with ability to setup and take measurements  
A working knowledge of instrumentation, NVH test and Analysis methods (including CAE) 
Driving licence 
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written & oral
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, matrix organization
